HORN

A horn is a conical mass of cornified cells arising over an abnormally differentiating epidermis. Associated underlying pathologic states may include human papilloma virus replication in keratinocytes of a wart or the clonal expansion of mutated keratinocytes in squamous cell carcinoma.
